Gas-liquid separator is also called oxygen separator, and there are many classification methods, which can be divided into many types according to classification method. According to the purity of the product, the equipment producing high purity oxygen can be divided into: equipment with pure oxygen content greater than 99.2%; low purity oxygen equipment with pure oxygen content of about 95% (also known as process oxygen); equipment with purity less than 35% (also called liquefied air). When the full pressure oxygen generator starts, the main cooler of separator needs to consume the cooling capacity, and the cooling amount required to cool it to the working temperature is also certain. It is suggested that the gas precooling is used in the second stage and liquid air precooling is adopted in the fourth stage, which respectively transfers part of the cooling capacity to the main cooling, and its function is the same, so the precooling effect of the main cooling is ignored, which leads to the use of heat exchanger supercooling in the stage of liquid accumulation.


The air separator manufacturer shall control the difference in temperature at the cold and hot end during operation. In the adjustment, the temperature difference at the cold end should be kept within the maximum allowable temperature difference range of self exhaust, and the temperature difference should be minimized as much as possible. The temperature of the liquid or the return flow of dirty nitrogen from the automatic valve box of the air separator from the accumulator (or heat exchanger) is about 180 ℃, indicating that the cold end air of the accumulator (or heat exchanger) has been liquefied. The air liquefaction at the cold end is harmful, mainly including: some liquefied air is deposited in the automatic valve box (or the bottom of the cooler), and some of it is brought into the tower body with air, which increases the moisture content of the tower body air and reduces the liquid air purity (oxygen content).


It is also a question whether the plate unit of the plate type condenser with full immersion treatment has practical application value. The immersion efficiency of liquid oxygen surface of the plate fin condenser can reach about 70%. Obviously, this meets the heat transfer requirements and does not affect the distillation conditions. The temperature of the return air outlet accumulator is reduced, which will make the temperature difference at the hot end of the air separation device larger. The ratio of the absorption cooling capacity of positive flow air to that of the reverse flow air absorption is generally larger, so the temperature of the air accumulator can be reduced and the temperature difference at the wind end can be reduced. The gate valve and pneumatic regulating valve of large pneumatic separator shall be installed vertically to avoid eccentric due to the excessive weight of valve core, and increase the mechanical wear between valve core and casing, causing leakage; when the screw is pressed, the valve shall be slightly opened to avoid damaging the sealing cover of valve top;


When the flow rate increases, the return water rate of separator decreases and the water spray increases. At the same time, a large amount of water will flow into the separator when the flow rate increases. When the converter is switched, the air flow impact is caused by the speed too fast, which causes the phenomenon of water. In theory, the expansion external work equal to the external work of compression is a reversible adiabatic expansion process, and the entropy value remains unchanged before and after expansion, which is called isentropic expansion. In fact, the expansion of the expander has a loss, and the entropy increase of the expander is irreversible. The gas separator leads part of liquid oxygen at the bottom of the main condenser to the auxiliary condenser for evaporation. Explosive substances, such as acetylene, are also concentrated during the evaporation of liquid oxygen. High concentration acetylene enters acetylene separator through partial liquid oxygen, and regularly drains the liquid. The explosion-proof device is suitable for air separation equipment with high and low pressure of 3350m3/h process, which can prevent acetylene accumulation in the main condenser and ensure the safety of the main condenser.
